Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who passed away in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5th, 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Her twelve WTA singles titles comprise the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist, she also has won both the US Open of 2019 as and her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. She also achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Four women's teams had achieved this feat.
